The whole work–life balance thing is a myth
Life isn’t about balancing one with the other. It’s always a mix of both. The percentages may vary, but it’s unrealistic to think you don’t carry your personal issues into work in the morning and your work issues home at night. You’re just changing geography. You’re not changing your life.
The way to affect lasting change in both your personal and professional life is to focus on the aspects of yourself that exist at work and at home—and everywhere else you go for that matter.
Inner Awareness Leads to Outer Success
For thousands of years great thinkers have been telling us: Look Within. Know Yourself. The Change You Want Starts With You. It’s profound advice, but it’s also surprisingly difficult to implement without further instruction. After all, how are you supposed to apply that in your life and business?
Well, the good news is that it’s actually pretty simple. What it comes down to are four basic steps:
- Step 1 – involves learning to pay attention to how life’s flow is actually operating inside your mind and body.
- Step 2 – involves noticing what’s happening beyond your body and recognizing how you’re influencing it and responding to it.
- Step 3 – involves mastering your own life energy so you’re no longer unwittingly trying to solve outer problems without full use of your inner resources.
- Step 4 – is where things get good. Because once you master your flow you can deliberately create whatever you want in your life or business. You can also easily handle any situation life throws at you.
I’m Not Talking about Magical Thinking
This isn’t some magical, secret way of doing things that involves placing your faith in a power greater than yourself and then trusting what you want will actually happen (although that can be helpful). I’ll show you practical, down-to-earth techniques that are simple to understand, straightforward to implement, and easy to verify in terms of their effectiveness.
And best of all you can practice them anywhere at any time—alone or with someone else, in the midst of a business meeting, in your car, at home, while eating, sleeping, playing, even (cough, cough) while having sex.
Once you understand how it works, there’s no limit to how you can and will want to apply this. And better yet, there’s no area of your life or business that won’t benefit from your efforts.
Why Does It Work So Well?
Because these are natural results that happen when you come into personal and professional alignment. Just think of it as a logical progression that works like this:
- Step 1 – When you understand how your flow works, you naturally recognize what’s important to you and readily align yourself with it.
- Step 2 – When you align your life energy, you stop fighting against it, so you achieve more with less effort.
- Step 3 – When you stop fighting the flow of your own life energy, stress and frustration melt into peaceful calm so you actually take joy in what you’re doing.
- Step 4 – When you feel calm and act with joy, you direct positive energy and enthusiasm into your life, and you can accomplish your goals with ease.
